In late 2019, Garfield and his wife Rhonda were looking to purchase a new house for themself and their children, Joel and Sarah. They wanted not just a house but a caring community. Their search took them across Stateline from Maryland to York, Pennsylvania. There they found a neighborhood where almost everybody, if not all, greets, smiles and or waves when passing each other, where neighbors know your names and your children are their children’s new best friends.

Garfield and Rhonda were so impressed with their new home that they wanted to give something back to their community, hence the concept of Desnudo was born. Desnudo means naked, but there is nothing corny about it. Desnudo wants to get back to the simplicity of people, the way we all enter this world naked. The concept is to go back to a simpler time when the focus of a business was to take care of its customer (people). Desnudo is a people’s company; our motto is, “It’s The Way It Makes Me Feel” We want to provide a wow! Experience to all our customer and stakeholder through quality products and services, and to give a portion of our proceeds to the community, through different charitable organization and community events.
